Thursday’s Ulduar raid was hosted for us by Kiaya, due to unfortunate circumstances which meant that Lunesca sadly could not co-raid lead (issues with her ISP).

We made fantastic progress with the usual bosses, in addition to one new boss kill. We defeated Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, Ignis the Furnace Master, XT-002 Deconstructor, Kologarn, Auriaya and Thorim, made our first successful defeat of Hodir, before ending the evening on a high note with the defeat of the Assembly of Iron. All bosses (including Hodir and Auriaya, whom we ended up 8-manning due to an extremely messy boss pull) up to the Assembly of Iron were one-shotted, with our first (and only) wipe of the evening occurring in the council’s antechamber.

We also managed to bag ourselves the “Shutout”, “Nerf Engineering”, “Nerf Gravity Bombs”, and “Disarmed” achievements.

Congratulations to all who attended for their outstanding efforts, and in particular to Rayquaza – who is now officially the owner of the most fugly looking hat in the game!

Lunesca and Kiaya have another Ulduar raid posted for Sunday night, to continue where we left off on Thursday. Lunesca also intends to lead us into the Vault of Archavon on Friday night, though this depends largely on whether or not the Horde are in control of Wintergrasp; there is a possibility that the raid group may visit the Obsidian Sanctum either as an alternative, or after we finish in the vault. Jaerielle is planning a foray next Monday into the Black Temple for nostalgia’s sake, and Sarris will likely be arranging a Naxxramas run sometime over the weekend. Sign up on the forums if you’d like to join in the fun!
