Last Monday, Jaerielle led a group of raiders into Mount Hyjal for a nostalgia raid, successfully taking down Archimonde before progressing on to Magtheridon and Gruul.

Friday night saw Lunesca and Kiaya lead our raiders into a fresh Ulduar instance, taking down Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, Ignis the Furnace Master, XT-002 Deconstructor, Kologarn and Auriaya. The group returned to the ID on Sunday, though personal circumstances resulted in a few of our raiders being unable to attend/having to leave early, so progress was unfortunately somewhat limited in the continuation; the group defeated Freya, and make strong progress on Thorim before finishing for the night. Thank you to all who attended for your hard work and effort, and a special thank you to those who stepped in to replace people at the last minute.

Due to many of our members being busy over this next weekend (festivals, birthday events etc.), there is a possibility that weekend raiding this week may be somewhat limited. Upcoming raids include Naxxramas on Tuesday (hosted by Sarris) and Malygos on Wednesday (hosted by Argartu); there are also plans to field our first 25-man Naxxramas raid in two weeks time. Signups are on the forums if you’d like to attend!

In other news, several of our members (including myself) have been hard at work in heroic instances, trying to gain the Red Proto-Drake mount from the “Glory of the Hero” meta-achievement. We’re making good progress so far, and will likely have the last few achievements we need done by the end of the week.

A few amusing incidents have occured during our heroic encounters so far, including a never-ending battle of epic proportions between Malganis and Arthas, and the Lich King performing karaoke in Drak’tharon Keep:
